Five-element Acupuncturist

John earned his Master of Acupuncture degree from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture in Louisville Colorado. The 4-year program consists of 3500 hours of education and 510 clinical practice hours to complete. He is certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

John’s Training includes Classical Five-Element Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, adjunctive therapies of moxibustion, auricular detox acupuncture (acudetox), dietary and lifestyle coaching, and Zero Balancing.

John has studied and practiced Buddhism and its related meditations since 2001. He has completed a number of meditation instructor pieces of training and offers meditation instruction as a key component to health and wellbeing when requested.

John’s favorite thing to be doing when not spending time with his wife, daughter, and friends, or practicing acupuncture, is to be exploring and spending time in nature. The mountains of Colorado have been a great inspiration in his life, especially with regards to understanding the deeper aspects of Chinese medicine and how it relates to the natural elements of the world.
