What to Expect at Your First Visit

This is not a rushed appointment. It is a comprehensive and intentional beginning.

Your first visit is 120 minutes of focused care

designed to understand your body as a whole,

not just your symptoms.

We take time to listen carefully,

identify patterns,

and begin restoring balance at the root.

Step 1: A Deep, Thoughtful Intake

We begin with a detailed conversation about your health history, current concerns, and long-term goals.

We may explore:

  • Hormonal patterns and cycle history

  • Stress levels and nervous system regulation

  • Sleep, digestion, and immunity

  • Emotional patterns and burnout

  • Lifestyle rhythms and transitions

Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is dismissed.

Many women share that this is the first time they’ve felt truly heard in a medical setting.

Step 2: Your Acupuncture Treatment

After your intake, you’ll receive a personalized acupuncture treatment.

Acupuncture uses extremely fine, sterile needles to help regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and restore internal balance.

We may also include adjunctive therapies such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, massage, red or blue light therapy, and other supportive techniques.

Most women describe the experience as deeply calming. Many rest or even nap during treatment.

This is where your body shifts from survival mode into repair mode.

Step 3: A Clear Plan Forward

After your visit, you’ll receive:

  • A personalized treatment roadmap

  • Herbal recommendations (if appropriate)

  • Nutrition or lifestyle guidance

  • Clear next steps

What Healing Actually Looks Like

Healing is rarely linear.

Some women feel noticeable shifts after their first treatment:

improved sleep, reduced tension, a sense of calm.

For others, deeper patterns unwind gradually

over a series of visits.

Chronic stress, hormonal imbalance, and long-standing pain develop over time.

Sustainable change requires stabilizing the nervous system and supporting the body consistently.

We typically recommend beginning with a short initial series

to build momentum and regulation before transitioning

into maintenance or seasonal care.

Our goal is not temporary relief, but lasting resilience.

If You’re Feeling Overwhelmed

Many women arrive here exhausted, uncertain, or skeptical after trying multiple approaches.

You do not need to have the right words.
You do not need to explain everything perfectly.
You do not need to be “doing better” before seeking care.

We move at your pace.

Our work begins by creating safety and regulation,

because healing is not possible in survival mode.

Before You Arrive

You will receive intake paperwork electronically prior to your appointment.

Please complete this thoughtfully so we can use our time together fully and efficiently.

Wear comfortable clothing and eat a light meal beforehand. Arrive a few minutes early to settle in.

There is nothing you need to prepare beyond showing up honestly. This is your time.
