Dr. Laurenne Burger, DAOM, LAc.

Dr. Laurenne is a licensed acupuncturist with a Master’s degree from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture in Louisville, CO, and a Doctoral degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine from Emperor’s College, in Santa Monica, CA. She is certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Her love for East Asian Medicine began when she started going regularly to an acupuncturist for treatment. After experiencing deeply profound shifts both emotionally and physically, Laurenne decided to pursue a career path focusing on deep healing modalities that support the innate healing wisdom of the body.  She loves to work with all patients, but especially with women of all ages, who are needing additional support as they navigate through the different stages of life. 

Laurenne also has training in auricular detox acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle counseling, and brings an understanding of life transitions, grief, loss, and other emotional issues to all her patients.  Her goal is to help our patients at Inner Ocean Center for Healing achieve inner calm and balance, as well as relief from ongoing concerns.

Hiking, being outdoors, appreciating the natural world, cooking, and dancing are some of the ways Laurenne taps into joy. She is also trained as a board-certified classical homeopath, is a long-time meditator, a lover of yoga, and an avid gardener.
